Summer 2018 Recap

F&B – Ahhh as the cool air starts to blow in, and you have to turn down the ac for the first time in what seems like forever, you get to drive past all the trees and their changing leaves, we look back at the summer that was in 2018.

Farmers were hit hard in July with heat that continuously hit triple digits. The sprinklers ran along highways 59, 99, and 140. Water flowed through the rows outHand Out.jpg in Le Grand and Atwater. Merced Farmers kept water running trying to keep our crops bountiful and ready for  the varying harvest seasons.

If you stopped by the Merced County Fair, you may have picked up a fresh milkshake near the FFA and 4H showroom. After tasting the refreshing milkshake, you may have noticed that logo on the side. Yep! Fluetsch and Busby was there supporting those young up-and-coming agriculture students from across the Central Valley.

We keep in mind all the hard working fire fighters that have worked tirelessly to put out the wildfires across the state. Our own backyard, the Yosemite and Mariposa areas, were hit hard. To all of those men and women who risked their lives to keep California fires under control, thank you for what you do. It doesn’t go unnoticed and we are thankful to have you all as part of our awesome community.
